Rakesh Patel's very first property was in a rough area. He rented it out, and he also bought his next property in the same neighbourhood, which turned into a profitable business. He then moved on to renting out another property in the same neighbourhood, which he bought the week after. He says not everyone can afford to buy their own property right away, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't try. "You should always try; at least you'll get to know the market and what is happening," he says.
